adidas Climachill™

adidas announced the launch of the new Climachill™ apparel range, headlined by a black training t-shirt that features intuitive body heat management technology to cool athletes in hot conditions. Perfect for the warm and humid climate in the Philippines, the adidas Climachill™ is designed to deliver maximum cooling benefit without compromising comfort or design.

“The body’s core temperature can increase by 3 degree Celsius when we are exercising. To maintain a stable temperature, your body needs to work a lot harder to lose excess heat. This may result in impaired physiological functions, which will ultimately affect performance,” explained Dr Maarten Hupperets, Director of Future Sport Science at adidas. “When it comes to performance, every degree matters. The Climachill™ apparel is the smartest and most advanced sporting product and can provide maximum cooling experience."

For athletes who desire sophisticated solutions in order to regulate body temperature and remain cool in adverse conditions, the innovative Climachill™ apparel is their answer. In this cross-category collection, adidas has also launched training shirts in the most unconventional colour for athletic apparel– black – to showcase the process of the Climachill™ technology.

Employing industry-first 3D aluminium-cooling spheres, the Climachill™ apparel provides an instant cooling sensation upon contact. In addition to the aluminium dots, the ground-breaking SubZero flat yarn also contains titanium and is woven throughout the inside of each Climachill™ jersey to deliver more cooling capacity.

Filipino athletes don’t have to be afraid of wearing black for fear of heat and they can now train harder, run longer and compete better. The Climachill™ product range will be available locally from April 2015 at leading adidas Sports performance stores, adidas online store(http://shop.adidas.com.ph) and sports retailers nationwide.

[Best Coffee in Town] UCC Brazil Bourbon

I love black coffee.  I can sip two cups of coffee in a day, and still feel somehow deprived of not being able to drink enough.

Coffee is like a piece of heaven.

I also have to admit that there are days when I want my coffee just as black and rich, but the acidity level must be kept to a low dose.  These are the days when I can extend some effort to get my hands on to this perfect cup of Brazil #2 by UCC. Some effort that is tantamount to driving for 15 km on a busy road.

"Exquisite aroma, full body and relatively low acidity, exhibits a neutral to nutty sweet flavor, often bittersweet with a toasty chocolatey taste". - I did not bother to look for other description, as this coffee does not deviate from its label.
UCC Blueberry Cheesecake - one of my all-time favorites. Serving size is just a bit right for two, so you can always share the calories with a coffee buddy.
I sometimes 'rinse off' my nearly-excessive coffee craving with a cup of UCC House Blended Coffee, prepared thru syphon.

Osaka Marathon 2015

I opened my inbox this morning, hoping to receive some fresh news, something to look forward to.  After all, today marks the beginning of a long work week, following Easter.

My inbox did not disappoint for a kinda-insider type of email.  This invite from Standard Chartered Marathon has piqued my interest, to the point it got me writing a short blog entry. This is where running takes one to a cultural trip, that is Japan.

Here are some preliminary info from the Osaka Marathon 2015's official website.
